Belle and Sebastian spent yesterday in the studio in Glasgow recording their contribution for the new Warchild album "Help: A Day In The Life", which is available for download today!  Visit www.warchildmusic.com to download our contribution as well as the other 20 tracks recorded by artists such as Antony & The Johnsons, The Magic Numbers, The Go-Team and Radiohead. Here's a little bit from Stuart's diary entry last night about the recording:-

"... we wrote a new song called The Eighth Station Of The Cross Kebab House.  It's meant to be a little snapshot of pluralist utopia, a kind of 'Across The Barricades
' type thing. It's a pretty true reflection of some of our impressions of our trip to Israel/Palestine earlier this year. I spent a happy lunch hour in said kebab house at the eighth station of the cross in Jerusalem."

Each tracks costs 99 pence per download and the album itself will be released on CD on Monday 26th September.  All of the money raised by the new record will be used by War Child to provide both material and psychological support and rehabilitation to children on the edge of conflict and post-conflict societies.
